What I do
I am a multi-creative copywriter and journalist who focuses on wellness, beauty, gender, and social justice based in the New York City area.
As a marketer, I’ve helped both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses across various industries grow their online presence and garner major media placement in outlets such as the Washington Post and Yahoo!.
As a journalist, my work intersects race and female empowerment. In 2018, I created the blog #DareMeBeautiful, which focuses on body positivity for women of color. I’ve been a contributor at ESSENCE, TEDTalks, Allure, Black Enterprise, Teen Vogue, HelloBeautiful.com, and more. My writings have created several viral moments, bridging pop culture with . My personal blog LenoraSheWrote highlights Black beauty, wellbeing, and culture.
As a Chicago native, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bradley University in Illinois, where I also studied at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. In my spare time, I devour art and avocados.
